WWW Wednesday

4 Dec

W…W…W…Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should be Reading.

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am just about to start And The Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini tonight! One of my favourite books of all time is A Thousand Splendid Suns by Hosseini so I’m really excited to read his latest, as I also loved The Kite Runner too.

And The Mountains Echoed - Khaled Hosseini

What did you recently finish reading?

I’ve finished three books since my last WWW WednesdayA Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving; A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens; and All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque which I will be reviewing later this week. Take a look at the other 2 reviews to see what I thought of those.

A Prayer for Owen Meany - John Irving

A Tale of Two Cities - Charles Dickens

All Quiet on the Western Front - Erich Maria Remarque

What do you think you’ll read next?

The next book on my list is The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. I’ve heard so many amazing things about this book so I can’t wait to read it.

I would love to hear your thoughts on any of these books, although no spoilers please for the ones I haven’t read yet!

I love The Book Thief, so amazing, I hope you’ll enjoy it. I’ve been meaning to re-read it for quite a long time, but still haven’t.

And I loved The Kite Runner, but still haven’t read A 1000 Splendid Suns, still sits unread on my bookshelf, but I hope you’ll enjoy And the Mountains Echoed. I’m planning to get myself a copy soon.

I’d usually say happy reading, but with your choice of books, I’m saying enjoy your books!

“The Book Thief” and “Prayer For Owen Meany” are both sitting on my TBR pile–kind of an interesting pairing! I’m not sure I’ll get to either of them before the holidays, though–“Owen” is going to take me some time to get through, and I’m not sure I’m in the right mood to give “Book Thief” the attention it deserves.

I’ve been going back to read or re-read quite of few of the classics, not sure if Tale of Two cities is on that list. You have a great list here. Here’s mine.
