Teaser Tuesday

28 May

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Should Be Reading.

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Book: I’m taking forever to read A Fine Balance! Still loving it, but I feel like I haven’t had enough time lately to enjoy reading properly. I’m travelling for work soon so will read lots on the plane! I’m up to page 321, and my teaser is from page 417.

Then, abruptly, the sound of his voice became the faraway echo of another – a voice that had once named the chessmen thus, for him, in the college hostel. He stopped, unable to proceed with explaining the game.

Would love to read your teasers, so please share the link below and I’ll read them!

Your teaser is intriguing but a little to “literary” for my taste. Please come see my teasers for Dare You To by Katie McGarry and The Spanish Revenge by Allan Topol. Happy reading!

Thanks Kathy. The teaser actually makes a lot more sense in the context of the book. He is literally referring to when he was taught chess by a college roommate. Looking forward to reading yours on the bus to work in the morning :)mmmmjmmhuhhhymhymyyjyjjyyjyyjyyjyyjjyjyjjjmymmjjymjyjjjjjjmjjjjjjjmmjjmmjjmjmmmjmmmmjmjjmjmmmjm

Sounds like a stuffy narration, but it’s hard to tell 🙂
